START WITH DATA. TRAIN WITH PURPOSE. PERFORM WITH CONFIDENCE.
SPORT SCIENCE TESTING FOR ATHLETES WHO WANT REAL ANSWERS
The game is getting faster. Training harder isn't enough anymore.
At CMJ Performance & Sport Science, we assess how athletes move, produce force, and perform - then build training plans based on what they actually need.

WHAT WE DO
Most Athletes Train Without Knowing What They Actually Need
Athletic performance is not defined by a single quality - and it shouldn't be trained that way.
-
Speed without mechanics breaks down
-
Strength without control doesn't transfer
-
Training without data leads to guesswork
At CMJ Performance & Sport Science, development is guided by assessment - not assumptions.
We use structured evaluation and LTAD (long-term athlete development) principles to build performance step by step.
Train with intention. Develop with structure. Perform with confidence.

EVERY ATHLETE STARTS HERE
Before training begins, we identify:
-
Movement strengths and limitations
-
Sprint mechanics and force production qualities
-
Strength capacity and control
-
Readiness for strength, plyometrics, and strength training
Every athlete receives a clear starting point and development plan.

THE SYSTEM
This Isn't A Gym.
It's a Performance System
CMJ Performance & Sport Science is built on one principle:
-
Assessment drives training.
We focus on:
-
How athletes move
-
How force is produced and absorbed
-
What actually transfers to sport perfomance
Becasue performance isn't built through random workouts - it's built through targeted development.

3 WAYS TO WORK WITH US

SPEED IS BUILT, NOT ISOLATED
Speed development is often misunderstood.
Running fast in a straight line does not automatically translate to performance in sport. True athletic speed requires coordination, strength, timing, and the ability to apply force efficiently in multiple directions.
Field and court sports demand acceleration, deceleration, and change of direction under constant variation.
Within our system, speed is developed progressively - built on movement compentency, strength capacity, and controlled force production so it becomes usable, repeatable, and transferable.

TRAINING BUILT FROM YOUR DATA
Every athlete progresses through structred development levels:
-
Evaluation - Identify strengths, needs, and starting point
-
Foundation - Build movement qualitiy, efficiency, and control
-
Development - Increase strength and performance capacity
-
Performance - Apply speed, power, and sport transfer
Progression is based on readiness - not guesswork

Three Simple Steps to Get Started
SPORT SCIENCE SPECIALIST | PERFORMANCE COACH
TANISHA JOHNSON, M.Ed, ACSM-EP, EIM, CSCS
NSCA CERTIFIED STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING (CSCS)
ACSM CERTIFIED EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST (EP)
Tanisha Johnson specializes in translating sport science into practical performance stategies for athletes and coaches.
Her approach focuses on clarity over confusion - helping athletes understand now their body moves, what they need to improve, and how to train with purpose.
She combines:
-
Evidence-based training principles
-
Movement analysis
-
Long-term athlete development
To help athletes build performance that last - not quick fixes.
She holds a Bachelor’s in Exercise & Sport Science from Texas Tech University and a Master’s in Physical Education with a specialization in Exercise & Sport Science from Texas State University, and she is currently pursuing her doctorate in Health Science with a specialization in Exercise & Sport Science. Tanisha is an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and ACSM-Certified Exercise Physiologist.
